During high school, I occasionally came across a manga on the U17 website. I was completely impressed by its art style. Prior to that, my knowledge of domestic comics was basically limited to works serialized in magazines like "A Shuai" and "Stealing Stars in September." Moreover, this was a domestic science fiction manga, which made it even more appealing to me.
This manga is called "Chu Feng" and, along with "Duan Nao," "One Hundred Thousand Cold Jokes," and "Town Soul Street," is considered one of the pillars of U17. I thought the first part of the manga had ended when the male protagonist, Sun Haoxuan, and the female protagonist, Liuli, turned into a puddle of liquid, leaving an open-ended ending for the readers.
It wasn't until a few days ago when I was randomly browsing various blogs that I discovered a website for reading pirated manga. The homepage prominently displayed "Chu Feng" with the latest chapter being 441. I was stunned at that moment, thinking, "Is this manga still ongoing?" After clicking into it, I realized that this manga has been serialized since 2010 and has never gone on hiatus until today (2023/3/29)! Most of the manga from the same period have already ended, but it still maintains its vitality.
So I spent more than ten hours binge-reading it and caught up to the latest chapter. I even re-read the first part. I have to say that Bai Mao's art style has become more mature and stable compared to six or seven years ago, and the plot has moved away from the trend of "filler chapters" that was prevalent in the past, focusing more on the storyline.
However, I still want to say... Please, Bai Mao, can we have a Good Ending?
